Featuring Desi Chicken Curry
Ingredients
- chicken drumsticks, 450 gm
- Ginger garlic paste, 2 tbsp
- Green chili, chopped, 1 no
- Onion, thinly sliced, 2 no
- Tomato puree, 1.5 cup
- Turmeric powder, less than 1/4 tsp
- Red chili powder, 1.5 tbsp
- Cumin seeds, 1 tsp
- Bay leaf, 1 no
- Green Cardamom, 2 pods
- Whole red chili, 2 to 3
- Cinnamon stick, about an inch, 1 no
- Coriander, finely chopped, 2 tbsp
- Kasuri methi powder, 1 tbsp
- Mustard oil, 2.5 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Shaman's chicken masala, 1.5tbsp
- Lemon juice, 1 tbsp
- Black pepper powder, 1 tsp
Method 
- Marinate the chicken with salt, pepper and lemon juice for 10 to 15 minutes. Meanwhile, heat mustard oil in a kadhai.
- Add whole spices to it. Let them turn fragrant.
- Add onion to it and cook until translucent. Add green chili & ginger garlic paste to it. Cook till the raw aroma disappears.
- Add tomato puree to it. Add powdered spices to it. Add salt to adjust to its taste.
- Add marinated chicken drumsticks to it. Saute for 5 to 6 minutes. Add sufficient water to it and allow it to cook till the chicken is tender enough.
- Check the chicken and add water if required to set the consistency of gravy.
- Add chicken masala to it and cook for further 4 to 5 minutes.
- Garnish it with chopped coriander.
- Serve it hot with paratha/ steamed rice
